The Indonesia Digital Investment Business Meeting 2025, held at DAOS HUB, Dubai Internet City, highlighted a clear direction for Indonesia’s economic future: the digital transformation of the real sector is becoming a decisive factor in attracting global investment. Speaking at the forum, Petrus Tjandra, Head of Maritime and Fisheries Affairs at the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), emphasized that digitalization must strengthen Indonesia’s productive sectors rather than replace them.
He underscored that Indonesia’s real economy, spanning agriculture, plantations, fisheries, and natural resources, remains the country’s greatest asset. Digital technology, when applied as an enabler, can improve transparency, operational efficiency, and access to international capital. This approach allows real-sector businesses to become more open, credible, and attractive to global investors, while remaining grounded in tangible assets and long-term fundamentals.
During the forum, Petrus expressed support for the initiative by PT Pratama Intercipta, which has begun tokenizing company shares into Real World Asset (RWA)–based tokens. The initiative demonstrates how digital finance can be integrated into the real sector, expanding investment access while maintaining strong governance and asset-backed value. Tokenization, in this context, serves as a bridge between Indonesia’s physical economy and global digital capital markets.
He further noted that the direction of asset tokenization and real-sector digitalization aligns with Indonesia’s national development vision as outlined in President Prabowo Subianto’s Asta Cita. By combining real assets with digital infrastructure, Indonesia is building a development model that balances inclusivity, transparency, and sustainable growth.
With its vast maritime resources, agricultural strength, and natural asset base, Indonesia is increasingly well positioned to become a global investment hub—particularly for investors from the Middle East, Asia, and Europe. The key lies in aligning policy, business execution, and technology so that digital innovation enhances, not abstracts, the real economy.
As Chairman of Agro Investama Group, Petrus Tjandra’s experience across agribusiness and investment ecosystems reinforces the importance of this synergy. Sustainable economic growth, he emphasized, emerges when technology is deployed to unlock value from real assets, empower local industries, and create scalable opportunities for international collaboration. The Indonesia Digital Investment Business Meeting 2025 reaffirmed Indonesia’s competitiveness in a real-sector–based digital economy, where technology functions as a catalyst for growth, investor confidence, and broader access to global financing. The forum is expected to foster long-term collaboration between businesses, regulators, and international partners, Supporting an Indonesian economy that is inclusive, transparent, and globally connected.
