Indonesia Visited the Steamless Palm Oil Milling in Thailand

As part of Indonesia’s effort to adopt next-generation palm oil technology, Petrus Tjandra, President Director of Agro Investama Group, and Sahat Sinaga facilitated an official visit to a steamless palm oil milling facility in Thailand. This visit included Putu Juli Andika, Director General of Agricultural Industries at the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia (MoI), who observed firsthand how dry-process, steamless extraction technology operates at an industrial scale.

The study visit serves as an important benchmark ahead of the upcoming launch of Indonesia’s first steamless palm oil plant. By examining Thailand’s operational model, the delegation aims to ensure that Indonesia’s implementation—led by Agro Investama Group—meets the highest standards of efficiency, sustainability, and technological readiness. The trip marks a key step in accelerating the transition toward cleaner, low-emission palm oil processing across Indonesia.
